Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for January 2019 is 96,25

• Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for January 2020 is based on the calculation of NTP with a base year 2018 (2018 = 100). This FTT calculation includes 5 subsectors, namely the rice & secondary crops sub-sector, horticulture, smallholder plantations, livestock and fisheries.
• In January, the NTT of East Nusa Tenggara was 96.25 with the NTP of each subsector recorded at 95.55 for the rice-palawija crop subsector (NTP-P); 102.66 for the horticulture sub-sector (NTP-H); 93.09 for the smallholder estate crops sub-sector (NTP-TPR); 103.61 for the livestock subsector (NTP-Pt) and 95.94 for the fisheries subsector (NTP-Pi).
• There was a decrease of 0.90 percent in the January 2020 FTT compared to the December 2019 FTT. It can be concluded that the level of purchasing power and term of trade of farmers in rural areas declined compared to the previous month or there was a decline in the price of agricultural production while prices the need for agricultural consumption is increasing.
• Inflation in the rural areas was 1.00 percent affected by rising food, beverage and tobacco prices due to an increase in cigarette excise prices.
