Abstract

  • Exports of East Nusa Tenggara Province in December 2024 reached US$ 73,729,410 with a volume of 1,541,219.71 tons. The export value in December 2024 increased by 1,161.32 percent from exports in November 2024. Compared to December 2023, the export value of NTT increased by 1,310.70 percent.
  • December 2024 exports of East Nusa Tenggara came from the oil and gas and non-oil and gas sectors. Oil and gas exports amounted to US$ 66,321,176, up 19,181.95 percent compared to the previous month and up 17,763.71 percent compared to December 2023. Meanwhile, non-oil and gas exports were recorded at US$ 7,408,234, up 34.66 percent compared to the previous month and up 52.58 compared to December 2023.
  • Cumulatively, the value of NTT's exports from January to December 2024 reached US$ 131,508,366 or up 119.01 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
  • The largest increase in the value of NTT's non-oil and gas exports in December 2024 compared to November 2024 occurred in the Animal/Vegetable Fats & Oils commodity group (15), which increased by US$ 1,914,538 (up 350,474.60 percent), while the largest decrease occurred in the Vehicles and Its share (87) decreased by US$ 188,572 (down 33.60 percent)
  • Oil and gas and non-oil and gas exports in December 2024 through loading ports in NTT to destination countries China (71.24 percent), Timor Leste (8.48 percent), Thailand (3.87 percent), Australia (0.09 percent), and Singapore (0.01 percent)
  • According to the port of origin of goods, NTT exports from January to December 2024 were carried out through the Atambua State Border Post amounting to US$ 58,195,618 (68.62 percent), followed by the Atapupu Port, Belu port amounting to US$ 1,487,518 (1.75 percent). US$ 24,189,739 (28.52 percent) of goods were exported through loading ports outside NTT.
  • The import value of East Nusa Tenggara Province in December 2024 reached US$ 28.69 million with a volume of 57,753.96 tons. The import value in December 2024 increased by 73.46 percent compared to imports in November 2024, and when compared to December 2023, the import value increased by 782.80 percent.
  • In December 2024, East Nusa Tenggara's imports came entirely from the non-oil and gas sector
  • Cumulatively, the import value of NTT from January to December 2024 reached US$ 82,299,621 or increased by 17.04 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
  • In December 2024, the commodity group with the largest import value in the non-oil and gas sector was contributed by the Sugar and Confectionery group (17) amounting to US$ 20,835,560.
  • Non-oil and gas imports in December 2024 came from Thailand amounting to US$ 11,303,851 (39.4 percent of total imports in December 2024), US$ 2,392,500 (8.34 percent of total imports in December 2024), and Timor Leste with a value of US$ 234,764 (0.82 percent of total imports in December 2024).
  • East Nusa Tenggara's Trade Balance in December 2024 experienced a surplus of US$ 45.04 million, with details from the oil and gas sector experiencing a surplus of US$ 66.32 million, and from the non-oil and gas sector a deficit of US$ 21.28 million.
