The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Kupang Municipality conducted a briefing for Field Officers of the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) for the fourth quarter of 2024 on Thursday (November 7, 2024). The event was held at the BPS Kupang Municipality Hall and attended by 8 Field Data Collectors (PCL) from BPS partners, 3 BPS Organic Enumerators (PML), and 1 PML from a BPS partner organization in Kupang Municipality. The briefing was led by an instructor from the BPS Kupang Municipality team, Cernny Karuniawati Raga, SST.
The purpose of this briefing was to refresh the concepts and definitions used in the Seruti survey, discuss field issues encountered during previous quarters, and prepare for the implementation of the fourth-quarter Seruti survey, including ensuring the completeness of administrative requirements. This survey not only assists the government in formulating policies but also provides a clear picture of household economic conditions every quarter throughout the year in Kupang Municipality. The survey aims to gather information on household expenditures, both food and non-food, from selected household samples.
A total of 150 selected household business samples will have their expenditures monitored using the Paper-Assisted Personal Interviewing (PAPI) method, with data collection scheduled from November 11 to November 30, 2024.
It is expected that the survey officers will be more confident and better prepared for the fourth-quarter Seruti survey, leading to the production of accurate data to support the development of economic indicators in Kupang Municipality.
