Abstract

  • In April 2021, Kupang City experienced inflation of 0.91 percent with a Consumer Price Index of 105.04 (base year 2018 = 100), a calendar year inflation rate (year to date / ytd) of 1.48 percent and a year-to-year inflation rate. years (April 2021 against April 2020) as high as 1.28 percent.
  • April 2021, 3 cities in East Nusa Tenggara experienced inflation of 0.82 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.38. Kupang City experienced an inflation of 0.91 percent, the City of Maumere experienced an inflation of 0.04 percent and the City of Waingapu experienced an inflation of 0.90 percent.
  • Inflation in April 2021 in Kupang City occurred due to an increase in the price index for 4 of the 11 expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced the largest increase in the price index was the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.85 percent.
  • In April 2021, of the 90 national CPI sample cities, 72 cities experienced inflation and 18 cities experienced deflation. The city that experienced the highest inflation occurred in Kota Kotamobagu at 1.31 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Yogyakarta at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in the city of Jayapura at 1.26 percent and the lowest was in the city of Tanjung Pandan at 0.02 percent.
