Abstract

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in November 2024 was 4.9 million, a decrease of 7.45 percent compared to October 2024. International air transport passengers decreased by 6.35 percent to 1.6 million. Meanwhile, the freight transported by domestic air transport increased by 1.10 percent to 55.2 thousand tons. From January to November 2024, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 57.7 million, increasing by 1.25 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 17.3 million, which increased by 21.86 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, freight increased by 7.92 percent to 600.9 thousand tons.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in November 2024 was 2.0 million, decreasing by 6.34 percent compared to October 2024. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 3.69 percent, turning 32.6 million tons. From January to November 2024, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 23.5 million and increased by 27.56 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, freight increased by 1.27 percent, reaching 343.0 million tons.
The number of railway passengers departing in November 2024 was 42.6 million people, which decreased by 6.39 percent compared to October 2024. Similar to the number of passengers, freight transported by train decreased by 7.24 percent to 6.1 million tons. The number of passengers reached 458.8 million from January to November 2024 and increased by 18.62 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, the cumulative freight transported by train rose 10.17 percent to 67.1 million tons.
