The percentage of poor residents in Nusa Tenggara Timur Province in September 2024 decreased to 19.02 percent

Abstract

The percentage of the poor population in September 2024 was 19.02 percent, a decrease of 0.46 percentage points compared to March 2024 and a decrease of 0.94 percentage points compared to March 2023.
The number of poor people in September 2024 was 1.11 million people, a decrease of 19.63 thousand people compared to March 2024 and a decrease of 33.17 thousand people compared to March 2023.
The percentage of urban poor in September 2024 was 8.11 percent, down from 8.57 percent in March 2024. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in September 2024 was 23.02 percent, down from 23.41 percent in March 2024.
Compared to March 2024, the number of urban poor in September 2024 decreased by 4.70 thousand people (from 131.61 thousand people in March 2024 to 126.91 thousand people in September 2024). Meanwhile, in the same period, the number of rural poor decreased by 14.94 thousand people (from 995.96 thousand people in March 2024 to 981.02 thousand people in September 2024).
The Poverty Line in September 2024 was recorded at Rp533,944,-/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp407,240,- (76.27 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp126,704,- (23.73 percent).
In September 2024, the average poor household in NTT Province has 5.81 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per household is Rp3,102,215,-/poor household/month.
