Abstract

In January 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province of 0.06 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.11. The highest inflation occurred in Waingapu at 1.35 percent with a CPI of 106.44 and the deepest deflation occurred in South Central Timor Regency at 0.84 percent with a CPI of 107.91.
The y-on-y deflation in January 2025 occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by a decrease in 2 of the 11 expenditure group indices, namely: the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 9.16 percent and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.49 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced an increase in the index were: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.45 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.66 percent; the household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance group by 0.50 percent; health group by 0.41 percent; transportation group by 1.19 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.25 percent; education group by 1.46 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.53 percent; and personal care and other services group by 5.95 percent in January 2025.
In January 2025, the month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate have the same value because they compare the January 2025 CPI with the December 2024 CPI. In January 2025, East Nusa Tenggara Province experienced m-to-m (and y-to-d) deflation of 0.27 percent.

December 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province will be 1.19 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Maumere at 2.65 percent

The National year-on-year (y-on-y) headline inflation in January 2025 was 0.76 percent.

March 2025, Kupang Municipality experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.19 percent

The national year-on-year (y-on-y) headline inflation in December 2024was 1.57 percent.
