Abstract

FTT is the ratio of the index of prices received by farmers (It) and the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is an indicator to measure the farmers’ purchasing power parity in rural areas. FTT shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumption and production costs.
In August 2024, national FTT was 119.85 or increased by 0.20 percent compared with that in July 2024. The increase in FTT was due to the increase in the index of prices received by farmers (It) at 0.08 percent, while the decrease in the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) at 0.12 percent.
In August 2024, Gorontalo Province had the highest increase in FTT at 2.60 percent. On the other hand, Sulawesi Utara Province experienced the highest decrease in FTT at 2.25 percent.
The price index of household consumption (IKRT) in August 2024 decreased by 0.22 percent in Indonesia, which was due to the decrease in food, beverage, and tobacco groups.
Nationally, Agriculture’s Terms of Trade (NTUP) was 122.20 in August 2024 or decreased by 0.04 percent compared with July 2024.
Paddy sales transactions in 26 provinces during August 2024, recorded transactions of the dried harvested grain (GKP) at 59.63 percent, the dried unhusked grain (GKG) at 29.58 percent, and the other quality at 10.79 percent.
In August 2024, the average GKP price at the farmer level was Rp6,422 per kg or decreased by 1.15 percent and the average GKP price at the huller level was Rp6,566 per kg or decreased by 0.97 percent compared to the price of similar quality paddy in July 2024. The average price of GKG at the farmer level was Rp7,177 per kg or increased by 0.14 percent and at the huller level was Rp7,291 per kg or decreased by 0.001 percent. The price of the other quality paddy at the farmer level was Rp6,181 per kg or increased by 2.63 percent while at the huller level was Rp6,300 per kg or increased by 2.16 percent.
Compared to August 2023, the average price of paddy at the farmer level in August 2024 for GKP, GKG, and the other quality increased by 10.10 percent, 6.17 percent, and 8.22 percent, respectively. At the huller level, the average price of paddy in August 2024 for GKP, GKG, and the other quality increased by 9.82 percent, 6.17 percent, and 8.09 percent, respectively.
In August 2024, the average price of premium quality rice at the huller level was Rp13,084 per kg or decreased by 1.19 percent compared to the price of similar quality rice in July 2024, while the price of medium quality rice at the huller level was Rp12,627 per kg or increased by 0.87 percent, the average price of submedium quality rice at the huller level was Rp12,435 per kg or decreased by 1.01 percent, and the average price of the broken quality rice at the huller level was Rp11,944 per kg or decreased by 3.26 percent.
Compared to the August 2023, the average price of rice at the huller level in August 2024 for premium, medium, submedium, and the broken quality increased by 11.31 percent, 10.04 percent, 18.21 percent, and 13.19 percent, respectively.

National Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) November 2024 was 121.29 or increased 0.49 percent. Dried harvested grain (GKP) price at the farmer level decreased by 1.86percent and the price of premium quality rice.

National Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) December 2024 was 122.78 or up 1.23 percent. Dried harvested grain (GKP) price at the farmer level increased by 0.87 percent and the price of premium quality rice at huller level increased by 1.24 percent.

National Farmers’ Terms of Trade (FTT) February 2025 was 123.45 or decreased 0.18 percent and the price of premium quality rice at the huller level decreased by 0.25 percent.

December 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in East Nusa Tenggara Province will be 1.19 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Maumere at 2.65 percent
